Alan has over 20 year’s gasfitting experience. After completing his apprenticeship in Kerikeri, he worked in Whangarei before moving to the UK where he worked as a gasfitter in London, servicing and repairing gas mains systems and also as an Emergency Gas Leak Responder. During his 10 years there he went on to be the Repair, Project & Emergency Manager for SGN.
He has also had considerable roofing experience both in NZ and overseas.
In 2022 he returned to New Zealand and now enjoys running Fox Heating & Gas.

Your fireplace needs regular maintenance to work safely and efficiently and many insurance companies now require evidence of annual maintenance as a condition of their policy coverage. Over time chimneys, flues and fireboxes will likely need cleaning and/or repair. Get it sorted before winter so that you can confidently light your fire in the cooler months.
We are NZHHA certified (New Zealand Home Heating Association) which means we have completed specialist training and are qualified to sweep your chimney/flue.
